Storm Play Android App Update

Hi everyone.

It’s been a couple of weeks since the Android App launched, and we have received a lot of great feedback. I’d like to address some of the most salient details we have observed since launch and share some notes on what the next update will contain.

Account Migration

We recognized soon after launch, we had a hiccup in our systems with account migrations, especially those outside of the U.S. As a result, some of the players who had the Legacy (old) app did not get their account balances updated immediately when they first opened the app.

This issue was fixed relatively quickly by the team, and all accounts should be migrating smoothly. I want to make it very clear that we will honor any and all legitimate balances from the Legacy App. If your account balance has not yet been updated, please let us know by contacting [email protected], and we will get the matter resolved ASAP.

Video

The second most common issue is trouble trying to watch a video. We use a series of advertising partners who provide us with video inventory to serve around the world. Unfortunately, at the time of our release our leading partner in this arena pulled their inventory due to a policy change on their end. We recognize that cryptocurrency is still relatively new to many people, and many businesses are still wrapping their heads around how to reconcile this tech with their business models. This is a side effect of any new emerging arena; early adoption has sudden shifts until normalcy is reached with greater adoption. At StormX, we are pushing to help businesses and consumers alike become familiar with model and the benefits alike.

To address this gap in inventory, our sales teams are working on finding new providers to give our worldwide audience access to this earning opportunity.

We also recognize there was confusion in the error message that was being served, as this was not an error, just a lack of inventory. This will be addressed with the next release to make it clearer to our users when we have an actual bug and when we do not. It is just unfortunate that the timing coincided with the release of the new app.

We pay close attention to our users and want to take every step possible towards giving you the best experience and earning potential. So, please, keep providing us with your feedback.

This is a holiday week here in the U.S., so we will be updating the app very early next week. Many of the changes are invisible to you — bug fixes and optimizations. However, we are adding a few improvements for you. Without revealing the entire list, these are some of the relevant changes coming in the next update:

  • Detailed wallet view — You can now tap on the balance number in your wallet to switch between an abbreviated view (924.5K bolts) to a detailed view (924,747 Bolts)
  • Enhanced Security — We will now further secure your account by asking users to validate their email accounts. Upon adding an email to your profile, the app will send an email to that account and ask you to verify you have access to it.

We have seen great performance of this new app with load times far faster than previous build and have even more offers than before spanning even more countries. Thanks again for your continued patience and keep earning!
